Fees and How To Apply

EEMC 2027 - 3rd-9th April

Applications for EEMC will open in October. A link to the application form will be available on this website for 48 hours only, so it’s important to submit your application within this window, as places are limited.

Once the 48-hour period has closed, all applications—both from pre-formed permanent groups and individual applicants—will be reviewed. From these, we will select and form 14 permanent groups for the course. While we will do our best to accommodate as many applicants as possible, please note that not everyone may be offered a place.

If you have attended EEMC in recent years, you will receive an email in September with details on how and when to apply. If you are new to the course or have not attended recently, please request this information by sending an email to admin@easterearlymusiccourse.org.uk.

Thank you for your interest.

Example of cost;

The course fees for 2026 were

Full board, en-suite room - £900

Full board, standard room - £785

Non-resident (inc. lunch & supper) - £645

Please note that the course is open to adults (over 18) only.

BURSARIES

Full time students on a recognised music course may be eligible for a bursary to help pay for their fees.
Please contact our administrator if you would like to apply.

Bursaries may also be available from: The Walter Bergmann Fund (recorder players) and The Joy Dodson Music Fund (viol players).

HOW TO PAY

A couple of weeks after applications have closed we will email you to let you know whether or not we are able to offer you a place. If you are offered a place, and assuming you are happy to join us in the Permanent Group we have assigned you to, we will ask for a non-refundable £150 deposit. Please note that this means that you don't need to pay the deposit when you apply.

Your balance payment is due by 1st March at the latest. As this is non-refundable you are strongly advised to take out suitable insurance, in case you are unable to attend. We also recommend you have suitable insurance for instruments, as EEMC cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage. If, for any reason, we need to cancel the course we will refund any monies paid to those still enrolled on the course at that time.

Our preferred payment method is bank transfer. To pay by bank transfer, please use the following bank details, using your name as the reference:
